Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich now seven points ahead of closest opponents Wolfsburg in the league table.
German top football division Bundesliga's 12th week ended on Sunday.
Bayern Munich, which is undefeated in this season's Bundesliga matches, met Hoffenheim in their home stadium Allianz Arena on Saturday. Bavarians cruised past their opponents Hoffenheim 4-0 in Munich. The scorers for victorious side were Mario Gotze, Robert Lewandowski, Arjen Robben and Sebastian Rode.
Defending winners "Die Bayern" are making a strong bid to win the Bundesliga title, with a seven point lead at the top of the league already.
Their rivals, Borussia Dortmund, are having a poor season in the league. "Die Schwarzgelben" (The Black and Yellows) were hosted by Paderborn on Saturday. Visitors Dortmund could not secure the win although they were 2-0 ahead. Paderborn snatched a 2-2 draw with a late equaliser scored by Mahir Saglik.
The tie knocked Borussia Dortmund down to 16th place in the league table.
Borussia Dortmund were held back by their German star Marco Reus' major injury during the match. The 25-year-old explosive winger sustained a lateral ankle ligament rupture injury keeping him out until the new year.
